“To help the young and the poor I have only my good will. I rely on your charity for the means.”
Saint John Bosco

The mission of the Office of Development is to present donors with financial options that benefit both the donors and the Salesians of Saint John Bosco. Many options exist that allow donors to give back generously some of God’s abundant blessings.

You can choose one of the options at the left. Each is set up for online or offline donation.

Our staff is available to assist you in achieving your charitable giving objectives. For further information, please call 415-441-7144, ext. 40.

A GUIDE TO CHARITABLE GIFT PLANNING: WAYS TO GIVE

A Gift by Check

A gift by check is the most common and convenient way to give to the Salesians of Saint John Bosco. Checks should be made payable to the Salesian Society. If you wish to designate the use of your gift, you may do so at the time you make the gift by enclosing a brief note.

Appreciated Securities

A gift of appreciated securities such as stocks, mutual funds, and bonds can provide attractive benefits to the donor. An outright gift of long-term appreciated securities (securities held for more than a year) avoids capital gains taxes and in most cases, the donor obtains a charitable income tax deduction equal to the market value of the securities.
