The Don Bosco Associates met for their Spring Lunch on Tuesday, June 10 at the Emerald Hills Country Club in Redwood City. It was a glorious day, and the crowd was lively.

Following the reception, Fr. John Itzaina welcomed the Associates and their guests to the Spring Lunch. The Associates dined on a wonderful Italian themed buffet with biscotti and coffee for dessert. After lunch, Bob Merjano thanked the Associates for their generous support of the programs of the Western Province.

Following lunch was the Inaugural Provincial's Golf Tournament. The team from Salesian High School Richmond, captained by Fr. John Itzaina, won the Tournament. Fr. John posted the lowest score of the day and took home the Tournament trophy. Congratulations to Henry Moe, Mark DeLuca, and Dominic Barley for their winning pay on the Richmond Team. Second place went to the Provincial Office team with Greg Cattalini, John Cattalini, and Bob Merjano.

Gifts from the Associates are accumulated through the year. In July, Fr. David will meet with the Provincial Council to determine the area or areas that are most in need of financial support. The Associates will meet again in the Fall for fellowship and to learn of how their gifts will be used this year.
